A song about the need for mankind to redeem from the old ways, grow beyond division and egoistic behaviour to attain lasting love and freedom.
The song never repeat itself but keeps growing and morphing into ever changing melodies and instrumentation from ethno to electro and some instrumental interludes featuring the Iranian Santur and soprano sax solos played by sax Japanese diva Chika Asamoto.

WINGS OF LOVE

A spark of hope alights my heart
Commotion deep inside my head
Gracious goddess, give me power,
and fill me with your strength, endow me with your grace,
withdraw the curtain, dispel the darkness,
as the dream fades, I’ll see glimpses of love.

Once I was taught, and told,
to never, ever,believe anyone,
It’s only for our people, not for outsiders,
that we have to be brave, to struggle and save,
but I always felt that was wrong for me.

I was called a tramp, a stranger,
but I could not take it, or bear the pressure of it,
the hatred, patriotic songs and the vicious old war dance.
So as I grew up I had to find out
how to tread on, with devotion and surrender
to the rhythms of love.

Grief and hatred growing around the world,
friendship and kindness just bought and sold. But for love to win we must realise, we’re all just one.
And it comes to me when I kiss my child,
It brings me tears when I laugh or cry,
and it gives me joy and it gives me pain
as I break out from worn out chains.
Sometimes I ache and sometimes I shiver,
with changing winds that disrupt my soul,
but still I go on believing that compassion
is what will let us sail on the wings of love.

Why some people on this planet believe
they can steal from everyone?
They will exploit you, and will let you down,
no regards for mankind.
Walking through this global village, I see many gloomy faces,
and I want to give them roses until they start to smile.
Throw away your worries, those useless burdens.
Ascend,we can climb so high. We can reach the sky.
Soaring on golden wings of love.

Is there anybody out there who can hear my pleading?
Could it be that you are ready for a brand new start?
Come and join the circle, let us make it brighter,
with singing and dancing,
with drumming and clapping,
with joking and laughing,
then we could fly on the wings of love.
