about

A beginner easy-to-learn approach to Oriental Dance rhythms playing on the Darbuka (hour-glass drum) and Sagat or Zill (finger-cymbals) for the belly-dancer and the percussionist alike.
Each of the 12 most popular belly-dance rhythms like the Baladi, the Maksum, the Tchiftetelli or the Karshilama, are presented and demonstrated in clear step-by-step / play-it-along sequences by introducing the basic strokes that defines the specific rhythmic pattern as well as 2 of the most common playing-style variations.
This CD is a must for the belly-dancer who wants to enhance her creativity and inspiration through a better insight and understanding of the music to which she dances.
