A very original composition based on a traditional Arab musical mode known as Shanaz. All through this album, oriental modes are treated in an unusual way as the melodic instruments don't play the theme in unison as it is traditionally the case but in a counterpoint manner where each instrument plays an original melodic line that complements the others enhancing the whole. In Check of Araby even the rhythm underlying the composition is an Anello's original creation.
